Please join us for our KPMG Insights series event where we will share insights from our 2026 Family Business report - Facing into the future, confident yet cautious. We are we excited to be joined by a panel of local family business leaders who will share their journey to date and how they plan to sustain growth over the next decade.
Our Insights panel:
Miel Meyer is the third-generation Managing Director of Meyer Cheese, an award-winning Waikato family cheesemaker recognised for its Dutch-style Gouda and strong paddock-to-plate heritage. As an NZSCA board member and course coordinator for the NZ Dairy Diploma, Miel is actively involved in developing the next generation of dairy and cheesemaking talent in New Zealand. He brings a grounded, real-world perspective on family succession, balancing legacy, innovation, governance and long-term stewardship in a business where family, craft and quality are deeply intertwined.
Pam Roa is Managing Director of Longveld, a family-owned Waikato manufacturer of precision-engineered metal products and a specialist stainless steel fabricator, founded by Pam and husband Les Roa 34 years ago. Longveld serves customers throughout New Zealand and beyond while staying strongly connected to the Waikato community it comes from and is now developing the second generation of family leadership. Pam's own background is in chemical technology and dairy science and was named CEO of the Year, and Longveld won the People & Culture Award, in the 2024 Waikato Business Awards.
Andrew Clements is a recognised leader in private wealth, family succession design, and planning. As Director of Grayson Clements, he advises business families, business owners, farmers and high-net-worth individuals on protecting, growing and transferring wealth across generations. Andrew is known for his values-based approach to succession, helping families navigate complex issues such as trusts, governance, estate planning, family businesses and intergenerational wealth transfers. Through his writing, media commentary and presentations, he encourages families to view succession as an ongoing process rather than a single event, focusing on preserving both wealth and family relationships for future generations.
