Description
UPDATE #2 - Covid is still impacting on our key resources and in the interest of everyone's health and safety we have postponed to Wednesday 18th May. Our sincere apologies!
Join us for the May Inspire - a chat with Chris Joblin. Chris, CEO of Tainui Group Holdings will join Ryan Hamilton to share the achievements, current developments, and opportunities that TGH has provided to the Waikato community. An interactive Q&A session will also be held.
Chris Joblin has been CEO since mid-2015, after first joining TGH in 2009. The focus of his role is to 'grow the assets, to grow the people', which is reflected in a diversified $1.2b portfolio of investments to build intergenerational wealth for the 76,000 members of Waikato-Tainui. Investments span commercial, residential and retail property, hotels, infrastructure, global equities, direct investment, farms, forestry and fisheries. A current signature project is Ruakura Superhub, TGH’s 480 hectare inland port and mixed use development in Hamilton East. Chris is a member of the NZ Institute of Accountants (CA) and the Institute of Finance Professionals NZ (INFINZ – CTP). His passion for big picture thinking to support the success of the iwi and Waikato region was recognised with the 2021 CEO of the Year Award in the Waikato Chamber of Commerce Business Awards supported by Foster Construction Group.
