Bev Cassidy-Mackenzie, chief executive of DWNZ, will provide an overview of the benefits of leveraging diversity in the workplace and how to address issues that may arise in a rapidly evolving labour market. She will also share strategies to help you mitigate unconscious bias in your workplace that might be throwing up barriers in your diversity journey.
Tuihana Ohia, from the Te Wananga o Aotearoa, will also be at this session to share how the organisation implemented an initiative that improved the health and wellbeing of its workforce and their families. The Tau Ora holistic wellness programme, which won the Work Life Balance Award at last year’s Diversity Awards NZ, has resulted in staff reporting improvements in wellbeing, energy and attitude and enjoyment.
