2017 Hamilton Major Events
Description
This year Hamilton is a host city for two major sporting events.
On 20 June, the Chiefs will play the British and Irish Lions in the sixth match of the DHL New Zealand Lions Series.
In November, international rugby league comes to Hamilton for the first time, with two pool matches as part of Rugby League World Cup 2017.
All three of these historic matches will be played at FMG Stadium Waikato.
Hamilton’s business community is invited to hear guest speakers from New Zealand Rugby and Rugby League World Cup talk about these events, how you can get involved, and what the Major Events Management Act means for your business.
You will also have the chance to take a “behind the scenes” tour of our world-class venue.
