Following the highly successful return of trans-Tasman services in mid-2025, Hamilton Airport continues strengthening its position as the gateway to the Central North Island. Jetstar now operates direct daily services to Sydney and the Gold Coast, reconnecting the Waikato with Australia, while newly introduced Christchurch domestic jet services with both Air New Zealand and Jetstar provide fast, convenient access to the South Island. Regional services further strengthen the network, with Air New Zealand flying to Wellington and Sunair servicing Gisborne, Napier and Whangarei.
