About Us

Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology is one of the largest tertiary providers based in Rotorua, Taupo, Tauranga, Tokoroa and Whakatane.
We are home to approximately 9,500 students, more than 50 staff and offer more than 100 courses, ranging from vocational training and trade certificates to masters degrees and postgraduate study options. Born from the merger of Waiariki Institute of Technology and Bay of Plenty Polytechnic, we aim to lift our communities higher through purposeful connections and partnerships, shared knowledge, and innovative educational options for domestic students, and those who travel to our shores from around the world, looking to be inspired by learning.
