At your Chamber we can see that all manner of legal contracts will be the subject of discussion, dissention and dispute as we climb out of the C-19 downturn.
There are a bunch of legal terms only Lawyers used that are beginning to be bandied about in common speech.
Who was familiar with “Force Majeure” or the legal meaning of “Frustration” before we had to look closely at our Tenancy agreements and other contracts as Lockdown was imposed?
To prepare all of our members for these discussions Kate Searancke will take us through;
1. Brief recap of the law
2. What happens if landlords and tenants can’t/won’t agree a fair abatement?
3. What if a tenant just stops paying rent?
4. What does this all look like if the Alert Level is reduced to three…or the situation continues for a longer period (up to six months).
5. Government packages
