The Employment Leave Bill has now passed its third and final reading and is set to replace the Holidays Act. Jaime will explain what employers and employees need to know about the new framework and what steps organisations should be taking ahead of implementation.

Jaime will also explore the upcoming changes to the Health and Safety at Work Act that are taking effect from 1 April 2027. The reforms introduce a more risk-based approach to workplace health and safety, with a stronger focus on managing critical risks that could result in serious harm and providing clearer expectations for PCBUs.

Jaime is a highly experienced specialist employment lawyer. She joined DTI Lawyers in 2018 after spending the previous 10 years working in the specialist employment and resource management team of a large Hamilton firm. Jaime became a Director of DTI Lawyers in 2020.
