Description
Join us for our May Inspire event as we welcome Lisette Reymer, a multi-award winning journalist, and one of New Zealand's only War Correspondents.
At just 26, Lisette was appointed Newshub's Europe Correspondent, based in London, where she reported on some of the biggest global headlines of recent years. From the frontline of the Ukraine war, to the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the Israel-Gaza conflict, Donald Trump's indictment, the King's coronation, and major humanitarian crises, Lisette has seen and done more in a few years, than many journalists do in a lifetime.
In this captivating morning conversation, Lisette will share the stories behind the headlines and what it's really like reporting from some of the world's most challenging environments. She'll reflect on the realities of modern journalism, the moments that have shaped her career, and what global events mean for how we understand the world today.
Her journalism has earned her many awards including Best Coverage of a Major News Event for her work in Ukraine, and the 2024 Reporter of the Year. Now as a presenter and Senior Correspondent for Three News she specialises in International Affairs, and she has also written a book, No, I Don't Get Danger Money: Confessions of an Accidental War Correspondent.
Start your day with powerful storytelling, unique global insight, and a rare behind the scenes perspective from one of New Zealand's leading reporters.
