Description
Join us for the May Inspire event of 2021 - We will be joined by Nathan Maisey and Peter Harris, Co-founders & Directors of Maisey Harris & Co.
Maisey Harris & Co was born with a vision to satisfy a need. Typical accountants were falling short of the mark, Nathan Maisey and Peter Harris started with a blank sheet of paper and built a business from the ground up without the legacy systems or constraints that often exist.
Fast-forward 5 years, Maisey Harris & Co is a multi-award-winning business with a team of 12 in their Hamilton office and have expanded, opening a second office in Tauranga.
Nathan and Pete continue to set themselves apart with their fresh new approach to accounting and are always looking for new ways to challenge the status quo of what is typically considered a very traditional industry.
Come along and hear more about their story as they share experiences of their business journey!
Nathan Maisey
Nathan Maisey is ‘The Champ’ at Maisey Harris & Co. Nathan believes that in 10 years, there will be no such thing as accountants. The technology and innovation evolution is enabling all business people to serve themselves. Nathan and the team at MHCO aim to stay ahead of the curve by offering practical advice for everyday businesses in a way they actually understand. Nathan prides himself in not being a “typical accountant” and with Peter has built a business around this mantra - offering a stratetic focus on services rather than the traditional compliance focus. His experience has ranged from SME business advisory to corporate level accounting, so he has a wealth of knowledge to call upon.
Peter Harris
Peter Harris is ‘The Chief’ at Maisey Harris & Co. Peter believes in putting the Pedal to the Metal, rolling up his sleeves and getting under the hood of businesses to help business owners get beyond their end goal and realise their true potential. Peter once dreamt of being an All Black: “There’s still a chance,” he says. Passionate about sport he is also just as passionate about enabling clients’ success. Peter has an impressive technical ability, and his casual but professional approach means he is able to portray typically boring accounting jargon in a way that business owners understand and from this he helps them formulate plans for the future.
