Join us for the April Inspire - a chat with Jo Naidoo and Sam Hood, Lawyers from Norris Ward McKinnon. Ryan will facilitate a panel interview focusing on their varied approach to law.
Speaker bios:
Jo Naidoo is a Partner in the Family Disputes team. Jo relocated from South Africa and had to retrain in New Zealand and work extremely hard against traditional mindsets in the legal profession. Jo is a natural leader, a widely respected family lawyer, and strong mentor to many lawyers in Hamilton, particularly those who are from diverse nationalities.
Sam Hood started his career as a young lawyer working in Hamilton for several years before joining a firm in the Cook Islands to lead their litigation practice. On returning to NZ he joined NWM and is now the Managing Partner. He’s brought about a lot of change, including some radical rethinking of how to run a law firm. He is a strong champion of personal and professional growth, naturally modest, and often turns up to work with salt water in his hair after driving straight in from an early morning surf at Raglan. Sam speaks Japanese and Te Reo and is a huge advocate for well-being in the legal profession.
