Waikato Chamber of Commerce hosts conversation with Greg Foran
 
The Waikato Chamber of Commerce is proud to invite the Hamilton business community to a speaking event with Greg Foran, Chief Executive Officer of Air New Zealand, on the 22^nd of June. The event is a collaboration with the Institute of Directors, Hamilton & Waikato Tourism and is sponsored by Deloitte NZ. It will be held at SkyCity Hamilton and is open to both members & non-members of the Chamber of Commerce.

Greg Foran started as Air New Zealand’s Chief Executive Officer in early February 2020, right on the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic. His steady helmsmanship has guided the  airline through this turbulent period, with a strong focus on how to come through as an even more customer obsessed organisation.  

Greg joined the airline from Walmart U.S. where he was Chief Executive Officer from 2014 to 2019. He was responsible for the strategic direction and performance of the company’s 4,600 stores and more than 1 million staff. Last year Walmart U.S. served more than 140 million customer a week with revenues of $307 billion.

Greg joined Walmart International in 2011 and served in several capacities, including President and Chief Executive Officer of Walmart China. Prior to his career with Walmart Greg held several senior positions with Woolworths, the leading retailer in Australia and New Zealand.

Greg has attended Advanced Management Programs at Harvard University and the University of Virginia. He also holds a Diploma in Management from the New Zealand Institute of Management.
The event will start at 4pm on June 22^nd and is $60 for Chamber of Commerce members and $75 for non-members (plus GST). Seats are limited and will sell fast so get in quick.
