Emerge is an event series for young professionals in the Waikato business community, and is proudly supported by McCaw Lewis Lawyers.
We are excited to have Thomas Nabbs, Founder/Director of The WaterBoy as the speaker for our December Emerge event! Join us for a chat with Thomas at the McCaw Lewis Lawyers offices to hear how The WaterBoy breaks down barriers to give Kiwis an opportunity to participate in sport and personal development activities.
Thomas aka ‘Nabbsie’ is the captain and ideas man at The WaterBoy. His empathetic, thorough, professional, and friendly approach is what makes him a reputable and highly regarded community leader. Since establishing The WaterBoy in 2015, it has been nominated as a finalist and winnner of multiple Waikato Sports Awards and was a finalist at the New Zealand Sport and Rec Awards in 2021. The WaterBoy was also nominated for Nonprofit of the year at the Waikato Business Awards. Nabbsie has received a Local Hero Medal at the New Zealander of the year awards in 2019. When he’s not at The WaterBoy he’ll be spending time with his young family, cracking (lame) jokes, adventuring to new places, training for his next marathon, umpiring cricket, or of course - watching sport.
