SUMMARY:Westpac Smarts - Sustainability Means Business. NEW DATE 4th August.
DESCRIPTION:UPDATE - Covid is impacting on our key resources and in the interest of everyone's health and safety we have postponed to Thursday 4th August. Our sincere apologies! \n\n\n\nThe next Westpac Smarts Event will focus on Sustainability and what this means for Business. Join our panelists\, Olaf Adam\, Senior Manager Sustainability from Westpac\, Katie Beith\, Head of Environment\, Social and Governance (ESG)\, from Forsyth Barr and Victoria Ashplant\, Director PwC\, Global Sustainability Reporting & Assurance from PWC to learn more about this important topic. \n\n\n\nSpeaker Bios:\n\n\n\nOlaf: With a background in engineering\, property finance and risk management Olaf made the transition into Sustainability four years ago and now leads Westpac NZs work on climate-related disclosures. While climate change arguably pose the most immediate and significant challenges\, businesses must consider an ever increasing range of social and environmental issue to meet the expectations of their customers and create financial value in the long-term.\n\n \n\nKatie (second photo below) has been in the Responsible Investment industry for almost 20 years\, with the first part of her career spent overseas\, predominantly in the UK. On returning to New Zealand in 2015\, she joined New Zealand Super Fund as a Senior Investment Strategist for Responsible Investment. In November 2021\, Katie joined Forsyth Barr as the Head of ESG. \n\n \nVictoria (third photo below) brings experience working across both PwC's global network and in NZ\, building credibility in climate and non-financial reporting and creating trust in business through greater transparency and accountability.\n\n\nEvent proudly sponsored by Westpac - NZs first carbon zero certified bank.
