SUMMARY:Waikato Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2021
DESCRIPTION:Waikato Business Awards rescheduled to Friday the 11th of March to a hybrid on line and under 100 guest event.\n\n\n\nTo adhere to the Government's updated Covid-19 protection framework the Waikato Business Awards is restricted to 100 in person attendees. The Gala dinner had sold out at 600 guests\, so significant changes have had to happen.\n\n\n\nFirstly\, the date has shifted to Friday the 11th of March to give the Chamber time to put plan B into effect. Secondly\, it will now be a hybrid of virtual and 100 guests.\n\n\n\nThe Awards ceremony will remain in the Heaphy Room at Claudelands Events Centre with 100 invited guests and live streamed to the premises of each finalist.\n\n\n\nThe ceremony will follow a similar format with the sponsors announcing the winners of the 13 categories\, with a live link to the winners being presented with their Award at their premises surrounded by their teams. The Master of Ceremonies\, James McOnie\, will ensure the evening progresses with his trademark humour and love of the Waikato. This format was successfully done last November by the Tauranga Chamber and the suspense\, drama\, and winners elation captured fully for posterity by the AV techs on our exclusive YouTube Channel.\n\n\n\nRegrettably we have had to postpone the Waikato Chamber Business Hall of Fame induction ceremony until a separate date in either late August or early September by which time we hope the Omicron outbreak will have passed and some normality has returned.\n\n\n\nFor those of you who cannot make the new date\, refunds will be available by emailing info@waikatochamber.co.nz.
