There will be presentations discussing new opportunities for bi-lateral trade and development.\n\nHome to some 84 million people\, Sichuan provides opportunities for Waikato businesses in agritech\, tourism\, food & beverage and health related products. In an effort to engage with Waikato\, representatives from Sichuan have also exhibited and attended Fieldays.\n\nOf note\, the capital city of Sichuan is Chengdu. Since 2014\, Hamilton has enjoyed a sister city relationship with Chengdu. However\, the relationship began in in the mid 1990's.\n\nPrior to 2020\, Sichuan Airlines flew direct flights into Auckland. The airline is planning to resume flights in the near future.\n\nThe Sichuan Province is also home to the Giant Panda.
