DESCRIPTION:Join us for another Inspire event\, this month we will be sitting down with Doug Wilson from Deloitte. \n\n\n\nDoug is a Chartered Accountant with over 27 years' experience working predominately for Deloitte Hamilton\, with the exception of three years working in the UK.\n\n\n\nWith over twelve years as a partner at Deloitte\, Doug's primary focus is largely acting as a trusted advisor to his clients.  This can involve sitting on advisory boards\, or just working alongside business owners to help identify and achieve their growth strategies.\n\n\n\nGrowth can come with many challenges\, which require careful navigation based on the strategic choices that have been made. Doug plays a key role in helping challenge the thinking of his clients by setting aspirational business goals\, and then providing the necessary support and insights to ensure any resulting growth is sustainable.\n\n\n\nExperience\n\nDoug draws on a wide variety of experience anchored on his accounting knowledge\, but combines many years of project type engagements\, and strategic advisory work.  Over the last several years he has focused his advisory work on corporate finance related projects in the following related areas: Strategic Planning\; Business structuring\; Financial advisory\; Business sales/acquisitions\; Valuations\; Capital raising\; and Succession planning.\n\n\n\nDoug also has several governance roles covering 'for profit' and 'not for profit' organisations and this provides a solid basis in understanding how to work on a business rather than in a business.
